Why this course

The Project Fundamentals Qualification is APM's entry-level credential, and it has become a standard first step for anyone moving into project work: it proves you understand the language, structure and discipline that professional project environments run on.

Each module builds the same way a real project does: what the concept is, why it exists, how it is used in practice, and what goes wrong when it is skipped.

Built by

Qualified project professionals with Big Four consulting backgrounds, who have delivered project management training and exam preparation across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and North America. Every module is written by people who have both run projects at a senior level and taught the discipline, so you learn the way the exam tests and the way the work is actually done.

This course prepares you for APM's official Project Fundamentals Qualification. See APM's own page for the full qualification structure and syllabus. Read more about why Qudrane exists.

Exam format

60 multiple-choice questions
Questions drawn from across the full syllabus. Broad preparation across all topic areas is more effective than focusing narrowly on one or two.
60 minutes to complete
One minute per question on average. Practising under timed conditions before sitting the real exam makes a significant difference, and our mock exam runs to the same clock.
60% pass mark
You need 36 correct answers out of 60. There is no negative marking, so answering every question is always the right approach, even where you are uncertain.
Online or test centre
Exams can be taken online with remote invigilation or at an approved test centre. You book directly through APM or an accredited provider, not through Qudrane.

How it works

Work through modules in your own time, on your own schedule.

Certificate on completion
A CPD-eligible certificate you can download as a PDF the moment you finish all 10 modules.
Full mock exam included
A 60-question, 60-minute timed mock built in the style of the real assessment, with guidance on every question you get wrong.

Who it's for

Anyone working toward APM's Project Fundamentals Qualification, or anyone new to project work, graduates, career changers, PMO analysts, team members stepping into project roles, who wants a genuinely solid grounding in how projects run, not just exam-ready cramming.

Frequently asked

How long do I have access?
365 days from the date you purchase.
What happens when my access is about to expire?
We'll email you about two weeks before your access ends. Access still ends on the expiry date. The email is a heads-up, not an extension.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, you can request a refund, but because our courses are digital products with immediate access to course materials, mock exams and certificates, refund requests are reviewed individually. If you have not started the course, a refund within 14 days is normally straightforward. If the course has been substantially accessed, completed, or a certificate has been issued, we may decline the request. See our Refund Policy at qudrane.com/refunds for full details.
Is the official APM exam included in the £99?
No. The £99 gives you full access to the Qudrane PFQ course, all ten modules, the mock exam and your certificate of completion. The official APM Project Fundamentals Qualification exam is not included and must be booked and paid for separately with APM. Our course prepares you for that exam; it is not the exam itself.
How do I book my PFQ exam?
This course prepares you for the content of the exam, but booking and sitting it happens through APM or one of its accredited providers, not through us. You can find booking options on APM's PFQ page. Exams can be taken online with remote invigilation or at an approved test centre.
Do I need any prior project management experience?
No. PFQ is APM's entry-level qualification and has no prerequisites. The course builds each concept from first principles before applying it.
Is this an official APM exam?
No. This is independent preparation content aligned to APM's published Project Fundamentals Qualification syllabus and the APM Body of Knowledge.
Are you accredited by APM?
No, and that is a deliberate choice. Formal accreditation carries significant ongoing fees, and those fees would end up in the price you pay. We would rather put everything into the training itself: best in class courses for professional qualifications, built by top professionals in both the subject matter and in learning development, priced so they stay accessible to everyone, whatever stage of your career you are at and whatever your background. This course is aligned to APM's published syllabus, so nothing about the exam is left out.
Is PFQ the same as APM PMQ?
No. PFQ is APM's entry-level qualification and a common stepping stone toward the more advanced Project Management Qualification (PMQ). PFQ has no prerequisites and is assessed by a one-hour multiple-choice exam.
