Qudrane

1. The Short Version

We use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the Qudrane platform: the ones that keep you signed in and keep the site secure. These do not require your consent.

We also use advertising cookies from Google, but only to measure whether people who click one of our adverts go on to enrol. We set these only if you accept them. When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept or decline. If you decline, no advertising cookie is set and no information is stored on your device for advertising purposes.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. Some cookies last only for the duration of your visit; others remain until they expire or you delete them.

3. Cookies We Use

We set the following strictly necessary cookies:

  • Authentication cookies. Set by our authentication provider, Supabase, when you sign in. They keep you signed in as you move between pages and let the platform confirm you are entitled to access a course. Without them you could not log in.
  • Security and session cookies. Used to protect your account and the platform against misuse, and to maintain the integrity of your session.

These cookies are essential to deliver a service you have requested. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent.

If you accept advertising cookies, we also set the following:

  • Google Ads conversion cookies. Set by Google when you arrive from one of our adverts. They let us see that an advert led to an enrolment, so we can understand which adverts are worth running. They do not tell us who you are.

We set your choice itself in a cookie named qud_consent, so that we do not ask you again on every visit. That cookie records only the word accepted or declined and lasts six months.

4. Your Choice, and How to Change It

Advertising cookies are set only if you press Accept on the banner. If you press Decline, Google receives a signal that you have not consented, no advertising cookie is placed on your device, and no identifier about you is stored. We may still see anonymous, aggregate estimates of how our adverts performed, but nothing that identifies you.

To change your mind, delete the qud_consent cookie for this site in your browser settings. The banner will then appear again on your next visit and you can choose differently.

For the avoidance of doubt, we do not use social media tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.

5. Third Party Services

When you make a purchase, payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout pages in order to process the payment securely and to prevent fraud. That processing is governed by Stripe's own cookie and privacy policies.

Where you buy a course through an authorised marketplace such as Reed.co.uk, any cookies set on that marketplace's own website are governed by its policies, not ours.

If you accept advertising cookies, Google acts as a third party in setting them and processes that data under its own privacy policy. We use Google Consent Mode, which means Google is told your consent choice before any cookie is considered, and honours a decline.

6. Managing Cookies

Most browsers let you view, delete and block cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in and accessing the courses you have purchased. Blocking or deleting advertising cookies has no effect on your ability to use the platform.

Guidance on managing cookies for your particular browser is normally available in its help pages.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the platform or to the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
